A027: Cherry Tree

I understand this is probably more radical than what a lot of my visitors may be used to.

This is a pretty big blooming tree in spring — I called it a cherry tree, but it probably isn’t. I was standing right under it, and it towered on the dark background of a late spring evening, really overwhelming everything else. It was beautiful, but also somewhat cold — I tried to convey here both the feeling of overwhelming and the feeling of coldness. Let me know whether I succeeded, please.

Typically, I don’t much like central composition, but I think it is appropriate in this case. This is a portrait and with the way I made this shot I don’t believe the central composition makes the shot as static as it normally would.
